Standing up for those without a voice.

This week we have the opportunity to delve deeper into what I discovered visiting Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard on Long Island.  Our focus will be on Sharon Levine and her work to help save beautiful horses from slaughter through the vineyard’s horse rescue operation.  The horses and the story are both quite moving.  Meet our next Hero on Hope.

This is an amazing story of love and compassion and a person seeing a need to help and doing something about it. Sharon Levine’s action’s in helping horses and being a voice for them speaks volumes in addition to educating so many people along the way about the horrendous journey to slaughter that so many horses endure. Educating the public is a very important component to stopping horse slaughter and Sharon Levine has found a unique way to do that through her business and is also saving many lives along the way. She is a true hero for the horses.
